Gucci returned to Times Square on Saturday night for its Cruise 2027 show, with creative director Demna presenting his first Cruise collection for the house in the middle of Midtown Manhattan.
The show took over one of the busiest corners in New York, with the runway broadcast across giant billboards overlooking the square, a reminder of Gucci’s long-standing connection to the city, where the brand opened its first store outside Italy in 1953.

The casting reflected Demna’s broad approach to the collection. Cindy Crawford, Paris Hilton, and Tom Brady walked in looks that ranged from oversized tailoring and leather outerwear to floor-length gowns. In attendance were Mariah Carey, Shawn Mendes, Stormzy, and Kim Kardashian.

According to Demna, the collection was designed around the idea of different styles colliding in the same way New York streets do. That translated into a wardrobe that moved between corporate dressing, eveningwear, and the exaggerated silhouettes that have become part of his design language.
The Cruise presentation follows Demna’s runway debut for Gucci in Milan earlier this year.
