Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut Cruise collection for FENDI (FENDI Cruise 2027) looks both forward and back, drawing from the house’s rich archive while reworking its signatures for a contemporary audience.

Presented through a lookbook and accompanying short film, the collection revisits the cinematic spirit of Histoire d’Eau, Jacques de Bascher’s 1977 short film commissioned by Karl Lagerfeld to mark Fendi’s first ready-to-wear collection.

The collection is rooted in Italian craftsmanship, material innovation, and timeless tailoring, while embracing the fluidity and versatility demanded by modern life.
Texture plays a leading role throughout. Contrast-woven jackets, leather outerwear trimmed with plush collars, and accessories assembled from tactile patchworks bring depth and dimension to the collection.

While womenswear remains the focal point, the collection continues Chiuri’s exploration of the shared wardrobe, a concept first introduced for Autumn/Winter 2026. Menswear appears as a natural extension of the narrative, with complementary looks mirroring their womenswear counterparts. A check-print split skirt is paired with matching tailored trousers, while metallic Canadian tuxedos arrive in coordinated his-and-hers versions, reinforcing the collection’s inclusive vision.
