In today’s edition of ‘things you never ever thought you’d see’ comes the new collaboration between iconic sneaker brand PUMA and South African staple of chicken and spice, Nando’s. That’s right, Nando’s and PUMA have made a sneaker. The name? RS-Xtra Hot, and you can find them at select UAE stores and online (peri-peri chips not included, at least we don’t think so).
When you think of Nando’s you think of fiery spice, and PUMA is honouring this tradition by dotting this new sneaker with enough chili peppers to alert Anthony Kiedis wherever he is in the world and have him come running.
The RS-Xtra Hot brings together the worlds of PUMA and Nando’s in a seamless fusion of style and flavor, reimagining the PUMA RS which was first launched in the 1980s, with PUMA itself launching back in 1984 (coincidentally the year The Red Hot Chili Peppers released their debut album…the planets are finally aligning).
Never thought we’d see the day when two titans of their respective realms – sneakers and chicken – would collaborate, but we are all here for it.
