MATCHESFASHION have just launched Ben Cobb’s debut collection for Tiger of Sweden.
Tiger of Sweden is a Stockholm-based fashion house established in 1903 by Marcus Schwarzman and Hjalmar Nordström. Editor of Evening Standard Magazine, Ben Cobb has been a friend of the brand for many years and has long admired their elegant menswear.
Combining Tiger’s rich heritage as Sweden’s oldest tailoring brand and the modern expertise of Creative Director Bryan Conway, this is a collaboration built on mutual admiration and a shared love for beautifully cut clothes.
In a move that’s both environmentally sound and creatively interesting, the collection is created from leftover materials sourced primarily from British and Italian manufacturers. The numbers of each piece produced are dictated by how much material is available. So get in there quick.
Ben Cobb’s personal touch
Consisting of eight pieces: a single-breasted peak-lapel and wide-legged suit; a single-breasted notch lapel and flare suit; four perfect stripped and block colour shirts; cropped v-neck patterned knitwear; a belted overcoat and dress coat, the result is a personal collection featuring modern separates and essential pieces.
“Each piece is based on the go-to favorites from my personal wardrobe. They are designed to be worn as a full look for maximum impact. That’s how I do it! Or as separates, injecting stand-out chic moments into everyday dressing. It is a collection made to function for all lifestyles and personalities.” says Cobb. We like the maximum impact approach.
