Ukrainian menswear fashion house, Andreas Moskin, is known for their cinematic, artistic references in their innovative collections (David Hockney’s A Bigger Splash; Jean Luc Godard’s Pierre Le Fou), and this one is no different. Titled Overdrive, this collection is inspired by the works of William Gibson and the films of the Wachowskis (The Matrix anthology, Speed Racer), transporting the dresser back to the high speed, octane fueled universe of 1990’s Cyberpunk.

One can’t help but be reminded of every single PlayStation 2 video game cover that featured an obscure, animated character with spiky pink hair, with an accompanying static, pixelated soundtrack that sounded like a blend of The Crystal Method meets Darude – ah, the 90’s to 00’s were great.

AM FW24 Campaign Low 12

The collection features maxi trench coats with wide lapels, exaggerated shoulders, and sleek leather casings, all of which give that yearned for impression of blitzing through a night lit city on a motorcycle with a samurai sword holstered on the back.

The classic tartan is reimagined with a contemporary silhouette, while contrasting leather adds a dash of grunge, as if Kurt Cobain and Akira decided to collaborate on an art piece.

Whether you’re hunting for transgressive androids on the rooftops of Los Angeles, or need to have dinner with some European emperor, the Overdrive collection caters to all environments, both today and tomorrow.
