We are officially in full fledged summer mode, i.e., breezy clothing, sunglasses, colognes that transport you to Barbados, cocktails with little straw hats, and Instagram stories humble-bragging about your upcoming flight booking #takemebacktoPuglia.
Here are 8 items cut from every cloth of summertime variety, all of which we want imminently in order to plunge us deeper into the summer spirit.
Loewe Trousers
What does James Bond do when he retires? Well, naturally, he grows his hair out, and replaces his immaculately tailored suits with something a bit more Laurel Canyon as opposed to Saville Row (although we’re a fan of both landmarks). These new pants from Loewe are perhaps the coolest bottoms we’ll see all year, and when sported by 007, they’re even cooler.

Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mirto di Panarea
If only there was a way to tell your perfumer, “I want to smell like I’m driving a Vespa down the Italian countryside in a camel coloured jacket with suede loafers.” Oh, wait. There totally is. Unsurprisingly, it’s from Acqua Di Parma. Only thing missing is Audrey Hepburn.

The Mugler X Gentle Monster Sunglasses
This whole Y2k thing is really making a comeback, and every new piece of clothing makes us feel like we’re trapped somewhere in between a Darude music video and Blade. Although these shades are technically for women, it should be known that legendary rock-star Robert Plant would frequently wear the clothes of groupies while performing on stage, so, y’know…rock and roll, man. Deal with it.
They officially release on July 18, 2024, and can be pre-ordered here.

Mr P’s New Romantic Collection
There is no shortage of delectable collections featured on Mr P, but its latest nails it right in the heartstrings. The baby blue Ralph Lauren Purple Label linen blazer is equal parts Bridgerton as it is Miami Vice, and we can’t ask for much more versatility than that.

Dior X Stone Island Round Bag
With a yellow hue that really amplifies the fisherman aesthetic, we never knew we would one day beg for a leather bag that made us feel like we were lost at sea, but here we are, imploring Forrest Gump to take us out shrimping. Steven Spielberg and Spike Lee both love Stone Island, so if it’s cool enough for them then it’s cool enough for all of us mere mortals.

Jokes Aside Shirt
Is anyone else getting Rugrats vibes from this shirt? Or Fresh Prince of Bel Air? The UAE based brand, Jokes Aside, is quickly making a name for itself on the global market, and this shirt is just the right level of Glastonbury, without being too try-hard. Might be a bit much to pair it with the Loewe pants at the same time, but who knows? Maybe you may actually travel back in time to 1994.

Puma Speedcat
An old classic, this motorsport inspired has just been rereleased to immediate, outselling hysteria. Not much more to say about this notorious sneaker, other than you need to act quickly if you want to secure yourself a pair.

Mango Man T-Shirt
At the end of the day, you just can’t be a t-shirt can you? This ribbed one from Mango is just the right bit of snazzy to go well with blue jeans as they are with some shiny trousers and that Purple Label blazer. And bonus points for big biceps.

Zegna Swim Shorts
Yes, as always we exceeded 8 items, but it’s summer and we’re excited. These Zegna swim shorts are as understatedly fashionable as they are comfortably sea-ready, and will go perfect with that Stone Island Round Bag we’re so enthusiastic about. Sure, there’s already an Aquaman, but there’s no Aquadude – time to claim that moniker, fellas.
