The latest JoeFreshgoods and New Balance collab is finally almost here.
Following the hugely-hyped collaboration last year with their No Emotions Are Emotions collection, Chicago-bred designer Joe “Freshgoods” Robinson is back with the Boston based shoe and apparel brand for a collaboration on the MADE 990v3 silhouette, this time inspired by the great outdoors.
The collection, entitled “Outside Clothes”, is giving the Bodega 990v3 that came out earlier this summer a run for its money, with a nature-inspired apparel line to go along with the shoe.

The the sneaker will drop exclusively at thegoodlife space on September 10, and if you want to get your hands on this gorgeous 990v3, there’s a raffle going on now.

The shoe is definitely giving Salehe Bembury’s similarly nature-inspired Water Be The Guide a run for its money, and setting a high bar for New Balance’s already stellar 2021.

The shoe combines brown suede with blue mesh and green accents to give a representation of the great outdoors, mimicking dirt, sky and grass respectively.
“I didn’t realize until last year how much the act of being outside had played a major part in my career,” saysJoe “Freshgoods” Robinson.
“Sometimes it takes something being taken away from you to realize what it means to you. And that’s really what inspired this shoe. To me, being told you smell like outside represents the early stages of what fun meant. From neighborhood block parties to hanging on the porch all day with your homies, you knew you had a wild day when your mom said you smelled like outside.”
