Dubai has long been one of the sneakerhead capitals of the world. Now, it finally has the Jordan Brand concept store it so richly deserves.
On July 15, Jordan Brand opened a new store in The Dubai Mall, and it’s a space befitting of the world’s most sought-after sneaker brand, adorned in exclusive designs that pay homage to the region, and items that display the rich history of the brand.
The new 2,500-square-foot Dubai store, which replaces the old boutique, takes inspiration from other Jordan Brand stores such as Jumpman LA, Jordan 1 Hongxing in Chengdu and Jordan 9 Guanghua in Beijing, stocked with the latest Jordan Brand footwear and apparel styles.

Before you walk in, you’ll be able to see one of the best features of Jordan stores internationally, as well as the Jordan Brand HQ in Oregon, United States—a wall featuring a plain white design of each Jordan model, with the shoes that Michael Jordan himself wore the year he won a championship done entirely in gold.
Inside, the store has numerous digital features, such as in-store pick up, as well as art from artists including Jason Seife, a Syrian-American artist who replicates the patterns of traditional Persian carpets onto canvas.

To pay homage to the GOAT Michael Jordan himself as well as the style of the Middle East, Seife painted intricate designs onto detached backboards and basketball sculptures, whisking a colour palette rich with historic Jordan Brand colours. The designs are exclusive to the Dubai store, and can be found nowhere else in the world. And if you like the designs—head to the store quickly, as the merch of Seife’s designs is available now, but is sure to sell out quickly.
“It’s exciting to see the line between design and art-making continue to blur thanks to projects like this,” says Seife. “Between artists like myself and Jordan Brand, we can create in-store experiences that highlight the products alongside the art, helping connect this cool relationship among artwork, inspiration and product excellence.”

Also featured in the store, besides sneakers and apparel, are books on the history of sneakers, as well as details you may not even notice on your first visit, such as a ceiling that can light up red when a shock drop happens in the store, where new or already sold-out sneakers will make a surprise reappearance for sale in the store.
To celebrate, the store has been doing special raffles for already sold-out sneakers such as the Jordan 1 University Blue, Jordan 4 Taupe Haze, and the Jordan 1 85 Neutral Grey, making the shoes available once more for a select few.

There are new raffles being added all the time, so be sure to head to www.jordandxb.com and follow www.instagram.com/jordandubaimall to catch the latest raffles as they drop.
This summer has a number of huge Jordan releases left, including the Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott x Fragment that is set for mid-August.
The store is open now, so head there for the full experience.
