Christian Dior has confirmed that one of its workshops has started to produce face masks, in further efforts to combat the outbreak.
Taking to Instagram earlier today, the brand – which is owned by LVMH – which is best-known for its luxury clothing and accessories, said it reopened one of its factories in Redon, France, and re-tooled it to create masks.
It says the factory is currently staffed by Dior volunteers.
According to the social media post, “Dior is actively committed to aiding and protecting all those who are on the front line every day. Thank you to our wonderful petites mains who, in an exceptional show of solidarity, are working tirelessly to protect them.
Dior has joined other luxury brands in battling this pandemic, including Burberry, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Prada, and Chanel.
