The impossibly high-fashion ’99 runway replica’s will be available from April 1st

While Maison Martin Margeila may be more widely-known for his split-toe, cult classic ‘Tabi’ shoes, the avant-garde designer still knows his way around a show-stealing sneaker. Exhibit A: the ‘Vintage Graffiti’ trainer. Mimicking a style originally shown at the eponymous brands ’99 presentation, the sure to sell-out shoe is making its return 21 years after the fact.

The rough-around-the-edges design is emblematic of the house’s sportswear and high-fashion fusion we see both on the runways and through its diffusion footwear line, and comes pre-charged with serious street credentials. The shoe features a painted sole and handwritten inscriptions across the upper and quarter, making each fit one of a kind.

If the exclusivity and class-room doodle design isn’t enough to get you pumped about the launch then the vintage-steeped silhouette of the design surely should. Modelled on the house’s Replica shape, you can bet your last dollar you’ll be walking into the future wearing a dope cut of the past.

The best bit? Even box fresh these kicks are designed to look undone, so no need to worry about about your fellow shoppers standing on your toes in the grocery line. You’ll have ’99 era shoes / problems but sullied kicks wont be one.
