Our love affair with a box-fresh pair of trainers is one that runs pretty deep, so the news that Esquire favourite, Dunhill, have released a new light-weight, ‘70s inspired running strainer was, naturally, music to our ears.
The Dunhill Axis Runner derrives the ‘axel’ part of its name from as reference to freedom of movement, and comes in super-spacey colour ways of black, sand and grey technical nylon. The design itself is understated and minimalistic, but the striking colour ways and contrast lacing means they still pack a serious style-statement punch.
As with any Dunhill offering, the materials are the best a mans foot could desire, with elevated details such as perforated and quilted calfskin sitting on top of leather heel counters and a micro midsole.

We’re predicting this to be our go-to summer shoe, so when the procust launches in store and online in March 2020, you’d best believe we’re buying it in both colours.
