This season Puma keep on surprising us with its accomplished, well rounded sneaker collections and a partnership with streetwear label Les Benjamins is no different.
Inspired by its founder Bunyamin Aydin’s passion for photography and travel, the collection’s journey of discovery is aptly told through the eyes of the 13th Witness, a photographer from Brooklyn, New York who unexpectedly discovered his Turkish roots from a DNA test.
Through his travel from Brooklyn to Istanbul, he brings to life the story behind this collection by effortlessly marrying Western street style with Turkish cultural tradition, resulting in a series of vivid images.
With traditional Turkish carpet print graphics emblazoned on all the sneakers,a knitted sock construction as good as the popular Balenciaga Speed trainer and built with a bold chunky sole featuring PUMA’s comfortable RS (Running System) cushioning technology.
These silhouettes act on the handcrafted appeal with a heritage DNA that many brands and consumers alike try to buy into. Middle Eastern prints just feel so fresh right now and even better there will another Puma and Les Benjamins drop later in the summer. It is no wonder you’ll be running, bouncing or dancing to whatever tune the sports brand wants you to do.
