Versace’s Chain Reaction sneakers are on the cutting-edge of the chunky sneaker trend.
Big, boxy and featuring a great big chunky sole, the shoes come in an array of colours and are seen just as often on the catwalks (adorned by celebrities such as Eddie Redmayne and John Legend). One might almost call the sneakers iconic (Versace certainly does) which is why it’s released a product that aims to make your iPhone look more like its sneaker.
The Versace Chain Reaction Sole Unit Case puts the shoe’s trademark chain-link sole on the back of your smartphone. Made of the same white silicone that sits on the bottom of the shoe, it’s stamped with a big fat ‘VERSACE’ logo near the rear charging port cut-outs.

As you’d expect, sneakerheads have got a tad gaga over the drop. But they might be a tad more hesitant over the price. While a regular pair of Chain Reaction sneakers go for upwards of US$1,000 (AED3,675) the iPhone case costs US$188 (AED690).
It’s a hefty price to pay – but on the upside, it certainly looks like it’ll protect your phone from the odd tumble.
The case is available online and will be in stores around the region later this month.
