CH’s menswear collection goes from classic elegance to casual cool

Carolina Herrera has presented its latest fall/winter 2017 collection of menswear. The new line (which you can see by swiping right above) marks the departure of CH’s obsession with classic elegance as a concept, to develop a more casual and urban look.

The collection is based on pure lines but a mixture of fabrics, including cotton, wool and technical materials. Colours are very much in neutral territories, such as grey or blue – with livelier shades such as burgundy and violet used sparsely, and mainly in detailing.

Knitwear is based on the iconic Carolina Herrera polka dot, where more informal items adopt a sophisticated college style (that double entendre is best explained as smart-but-preppy). Expect bomber jackets, parkas and sweatshirts combined to make unique outfits.

Going with the seasonal trend of oversized letter jackets, you can also find the label’s initials CH featured in patches and embroideries. Red details are often used in details like the stitching.

The result is a more casual fall/winter line, but one with its very own distinctive style. You can pick up the entire collection in Carolina Herrera boutiques right now.
