Today, Ermenegildo Zegna and Maserati have unveiled a new Maserati Capsule Collection for 2018, this time inspired by the GranLusso trim package (on the Quattroporte, Ghibli and Levante models). Of course, Zegna and Maserati go way back.
The two Italian mega-brands first put heads together in 2013, when Zegna released a limited edition capsule collection of menswear and accessories based around the Quattroporte. In kind, Maserati released a Zegna edition of the car, with an interior kitted out in exclusive Ermenegildo Zegna fabric and trim. And the two brands have been inseparable ever since.
The 2018 collection is based on travel-oriented clothing in microfibre fabrics, with micro-nubuck details. They sit alongside leather bags and accessories that are representations of both the craft and elegance that define both Italian brands.
The dual-colour and material composition in the car is reflected in the line of premium leather accessories, including two different backpacks and special edition triple stitch sneakers.
The capsule collection is a mixture of high-performance materials with quilted outerwear in chocolate brown and grey. Other important pieces in the collection include a chocolate brown leather trolley bag, with a memory foam structure that protects it from impact.
Clothing-wise, there are denim jeans, polo shirts (made in pure cotton) with the Maserati trident logo, and a silk jacquard scarf with the logo.
The New Maserati collection will be available at Ermenegildo Zegna boutiques and Zegna.com at the end of October 2017.
