Sneakerheads rejoice! Wallets weep! The adidas Originals NMD R2 silhouette will be available in two new colourways for men and women this month, blending the shoe’s familiar and much-lauded design with a range of complementary graphic touches.
The men’s iteration offers the NMD R2 silhouette with a full Primeknit construction in a fresh grey colourway, whilst a unique ‘shadow knit’ technique creates an effect that causes the shoe to shift colour in the light. Finishing touches on this shoe include tonal laces, a leather heel-patch, and a BOOST midsole with an asymmetric EVA insert.
The women’s edition takes its own unique approach, treating the shoe’s Primeknit upper with an engineered graphic pattern. Essential elements like the heel-patch and the 3-stripes mark welded on the shoe are retained in full, rendered in a striking pink and black colourway. The shoe is similarly rounded off by a white BOOST midsole with tonal asymmetric EVA insert, rendering the second generation NMD silhouette in a bold new aesthetic.
These new clean new colourways are set for release on July 13th at select adidas retailers.
