Good trainer, M.A.A.D style

It is always a tough task to keep your hip-hop swag on point while playing tennis. Rebook and Kendrick Lamar have teamed up so that now, the two go hand-in hand. Releasing his take on the iconic Club C, the multi-platinum selling artist’s design draws on his experiences to give a touch of his unique style to the legacy of the classic tennis shoe. 
 
Taking direct inspiration from his latest album and his ability to start conversation around race and social injustice, this Club C design forces people to think a little deeper and celebrates Kendrick’s ability to create art with meaning.
 
Commenting on the design, Kendrick said, “Now more than ever is it important for individuals to come together as one. This sneaker represents that call for unity and equality, while also pushing people to look beneath the surface and uncover the hidden messages. This is something I try to do with my music, and now here with the Club C.”
 
As if a bold political statement wasn’t enough, the new sneakers look pretty cool too. An acid-washed bleach denim upper with white sole and touch of red, result in a stylish trainer that will soon be a firm favorite within your collection.
 
Kendrick chose the bleached black denim as a representation of mystery and anonymity, but also the coexistence of two different colours. At a time when the U.S is facing conflicting conversations about race, the new design demonstrates Lamar’s belief in the benefit of creating a collaborative community.
