Riviera dressing has a tendency to promise more than it delivers. Crisp linens that don’t survive the taxi ride, tailoring that fades by noon—in short, what looks good in theory rarely holds up in practice. And yet, every year, the idea persists. Because when it works, it really works.
The Dioriviera collection from Dior might just get closer than most. The seasonal drop has quietly become a marker for what men actually want to wear when they holiday: clothes that can handle heat, movement, and a long day that doesn’t quite have a plan.

This season, the Maison’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson keeps things loose for the Dioriviera collection. Shirts are cut to move, shorts are casual, and nothing feels overthought. Stripes, swimwear, bucket hats and silk scarves bring a lighter, more relaxed energy to the mix.
The Book Tote arrives in terry cloth: softer, less city, more beach. The footwear does a lot of the heavy lifting. The new Dior Chester shoes, including loafers and boat shoes, lean into a relaxed, slightly vintage sensibility. Alongside them, the Dior Rivage sandals bring a cleaner, more immediate hit of colour, cutting through the softness of the rest of the look.
It all adds up to something wearable, which is rarer than it sounds. And that’s exactly the point.
