When it comes to adaptable dress shoes, the American brand Cole Haan reigns supreme. For just a smidge under a century – the brand’s continual evolution of what men need to walk the line between casual and dressy has been on point, and no time is that more applicable than right now.

This season sees Cole Haan continue to redefine the boundaries of dress shoes with the launch of its ØriginalGrand 2.0. Building upon a decade of success of its namesake, the famed silhouette has been adapted with new ‘skyweave’ tech that comfort and style in a way that continues to impress.

The classic aesthetic of the Oxford – that bastion of men’s dress shoes – is at the heart of the new offering with both classic brogued and Wingtiped versions available as part of the ØriginalGrand 2.0 collection and is available in five colourways.

The innovation part, however, comes in the shape of the intricate new outsole that features hundreds of biomimetically engineered trusses for a more spring-like comfort. By all intent and purpose, this is a dress shoe, but one that is designed to blur the lines between the traditional 9 to 5 and 5 to 9.
