All that is old is cool again.
That may as well be the mantra of the summer, as everything from Birkenstocks to Spongebob is having a major fashion resurgence. And now, Pokémon-themed bling is enjoying some time in the spotlight.
Artist Dan Life just dropped some Pokémon necklaces which sold out in a matter of moments.
Made from silver, rhodium and multi-coloured crystals, these chunky, hand-made pieces are seriously cool. Who needs a massive diamond-encrusted dollar sign when you can sport an awesome detective Pikachu?
It looks as if the pieces draw inspiration from the Detective Pikachu movie rather than from the original cartoons. Pikachu has on his detective hat for example.

Dan Life is a bit of an esoteric artist, with ‘only’ 62K followers on his Instagram, he is known for blinging up basically anything he wants. From crystal sculptures of Nike sneakers, to Game of Thrones character necklaces, he essentially makes wearable pop-culture with added sparkle.
Besides Pika, there is also a somewhat annoyed looking Jigglypuff and a Mr Mime.

For $450, the pieces are certainly pricey, though not as much as those diamond covered things you see some rappers wear.
If you’re wondering who would wear these Pokémon, we think Bieber could rock this, or perhaps Gucci Mane. Remember when Mane walked around with giant diamond ice creams around his neck? These Pokémon are equally as shiny and quirky if you ask us.
Each piece is limited to 20-pieces, though Dan Life has hinted at another drop via his Instagram.
