There’s just something that happens to us when donning a leather biker jacket. Something rebellious, anarchic, defiant builds inside you, and next thing you know, a toothpick has magically appeared in your mouth, and you no longer show up on time because your leather makes the rules, not authority.
The Bikeriders, starring Tom Hardy and Austin Butler, has sadly been pushed to 2024 due to the SAG/Aftra strikes, but it was released just a few months ago at the Telluride International Film Festival, and reviews have been exemplary. Lauded critic, Kyle Smith, of the Wall Street journal, writes “The finest movie about motorcycle culture I’ve ever seen.” And after watching the trailer, all we want to do is quit our job, buy a motorcycle and leather jacket and prowl the desert with our merry band of delinquents.
