The name Moses Rashid may not instantly ring any bells, but one look at his staggering body of work, and you just might recognise the powerhouse he’s created. Founder of The Edit LDN, the coolest premium sneaker, apparel and luxury marketplace on the planet, it provides a personal shopping service for celebrities, athletes and royalty alike.
Having already collaborated with the Chicago Bulls, and set up shop inside both London’s Harrods department store, and Harvey Nichols Riyadh, Rashid speaks style fluently.
Bottom line: when it comes to luxury gear, Moses Rashid is the plug – that is, if what you’re looking for hasn’t sold out already.
ESQ: How has your personal style changed over the last few years?
Moses Rashid: I’ve always been quite eclectic with my choices. I tend to move from big bold prints to quiet luxury, with bright colours. The biggest shift has been to not just focus on the ‘hype’ of a product, but rather purchase it because you like it. If you do that, then you can add the item to your rotation with a long term sustainable view to purchasing other luxury items.
ESQ: What are some go-to staples in your closet?
Moses Rashid: I Always travel with a handful of kicks including Travis Scott Low Fragment and Maison Mihara’s staple plain white and black tees. But I need comfort, so Amie Leon Dore shorts, and some statement trousers. I also don’t travel anywhere without a selection of chunky chains. These are always needed to finish off any look.
ESQ: What do you say to people who want to change their style but are nervous (or perhaps insecure) to do do?
Moses Rashid: Just do it. Fashion is like music – it changes with your mood that day. Get experimenting and express yourself daily with your outfit of choice. I remember the day I wore a pair of tie-dye gallery department jeans and I fully expected my buddies to make fun of me, but instead I received nothing but compliments. Moral of the story: do it, and you just might surprise yourself.
ESQ: What is a big faux pas that you’d never wear no matter what?
Moses Rashid: Baseball caps. I actually really like them, but unfortunately they just dont suit me. However, one tip I’d give the readers, some people purchase brands with logos and assume that they look cool. On some people this may be true, but I always say it doesn’t matter how much money you spend on an item, it’s about how you style it and piece it together with other items. Get creative, and focus less on the ‘hype’ of a certain logo, because by tomorrow the novelty may have worn off anyway.
ESQ: So, talk us through your Three Fits…
Fit One

This is a limited statement piece by Stussy X Levi’s in washed pink, finished off with a Loewe vest. Some guys are scared of bold colours – particularly pink – but when paired with the right finishes and sneakers, it sets the tone for any day or night.
Fit Two

This look is laidback, but not limiting. A crochet shirt paired with a simple white vest, gives you those spring/summer vibes, and – although you cant see them in this shot – I pair them with a pair of Travis Scott OG Mocha with light pink laces for a sudden pop of colour. As with most of my fits, this works both for day and night, because you never know where the setting sun may take you.
Fit Three

I love the bold Denim Tears floral trousers in this look, then paired with a denim Prada vest, oversized t-shirt and topped off with a Louis Vuitton chunky chain. This definitely evokes a streetwear vibe, but with that touch of luxury that just oozes rock’n’roll. I like to add the chain to a lot of my fits, simply because of the way it makes me feel, and how it has the ability to immediately amplify whatever I’m wearing, especially if it’s a bit more understated.
