Apparently, the colder months are here (eh?) when it comes to fashion, anyway. Which means new collections have begun to appear in stores around the UAE.
Fresh off the back of July, COS is one of the first to drop its autumn-winter lineup. The new collection takes inspiration from two pronounced themes; ‘real or imagined nature’ as well as ‘processes which refine the raw’.
What that means in fashion speak, is that the new collection is a bit of an imagination of wardrobe staples, making use of new cuts and silhouettes, as well as some interesting materials.
Colours have also been tweaked to reflect the changing of the seasons; gone are the bright pinks and yellows of the summer, and instead, you can expect to see muted greens and browns, alongside colder more industrial hues like grey and off-white.
One of the highlights of the collection is a ‘thermoreactive’ jacket in grey, which changes colour when heat is applied to it either directly (by hand) or indirectly (from the sun).
As per, COS is also launching a new range of accessories, all of which fit into either of the concepts above. For men, that means square-toe leather boots for men, as well as functional pieces such as a cube-shaped collapsible back, an oversized shopper, and a felted wool backpack, all in a muted taupe colour palette.
