Fans will be able to watch every match of the tournament from within the fan zone which opens from 21 November to 18 December.  The largest screen in the UAE will ensure that no matter where fans are seated, they’ll have a clear view of every penalty, free kick and foul happening in Qatar. There will also be additional screens scattered throughout the fan zone.

McGettigan’s are teaming up with DGT Events and will be offering a wide range of entertainment including live music to enhance the experience.  Standard entry tickets cost AED 50 and will be fully redeemable while information on additional seating options such as picnic tables and VIP booths will be revealed nearer the time.

Fan zone and Winterfest combined

To kick off the World Cup as well as the holiday season, a Christmas tree lighting will also be taking place to mark the launch of Winterfest which will be open a Christmas market, a Santa’s Grotto, a skating rink,  festive movie nights, a holiday camp and more. There’s also going to be a Christmas jumper party so make be sure to wear the ugliest one you own.

Visitors can expect to find Christmas themed food and beverage options such as mulled wine and hot chocolate for children.

In the meantime, the 2022-23 Premier League season has just kicked off this weekend and McGettigan’s will be screening all the big matches for fans to watch.
