At the WWE Clash in the Castle event in Cardiff, Wales, Tyson Fury revealed to Esquire Middle East that he is no longer retired from boxing, and plans to announce his next fight next week.
When I asked him whether his next appearance will be in a wrestling ring in WWE Crown Jewel or in a boxing ring against a potential opponent such as Usyk in Jeddah, Fury responded with the following:
“Usyk was calling me out after his last fight with Joshua. I have replied. I said let’s do the fight this year, wherever they want to do it. I’ve been waiting for offers from countries to come forward. And all of a sudden, Oleksandr Usyk has stated he doesn’t want to fight anymore. He wants to fight next year, not this year. So I’m not going to wait around for anybody. I’m going to be announcing a fight next week,” he told me at the post-event press conference.
Where and when and against whom the fight will take place is anyone guess, but at least we won’t have to wait long to find out–and it will 100% be by the end of the year.
Fury also stated that he is looking forward to returning to a WWE ring in the future, with Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s newly-appointed Chief Content Officer, stating that he would be interested in holding a major event in which Fury vs. Roman Reigns could headline.
Fury also participated in the show’s main event, stopping wrestler Theory from cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and forcing a title shot, to the delight of the crowd.
WWE Clash at the Castle
While Drew McIntyre was unsuccessful in his title bout against Roman Reigns, losing after an interference from debuting member of the Bloodline Solo Sikoa, the night was thoroughly McIntyre’s, with the 62,000+ crowd thoroughly in the camp of the Scottish superstar.
Esquire Middle East spoke to McIntyre ahead of the match, as he traced his journey and the evolution of his character as of late.

” I have been more the real Drew. The sword got a bit too much TV time over the last year and a half. The sword is cool from a visual perspective, from a branding perspective, from a merchandizing perspective. know there’s a lot of opportunities there for kids love the sword. People tuning in for the first time might go to see a giant guy with a sword,” he told Esquire Middle East.
“But for a regular fans that tune in, they want to know more about the man behind the sword. That lad can take a step back and another me can take a step forward, and really let people learn about the character of the man behind man and allow that connection to grow. That’s what it’s all about in our business—emotional connection, and as you use voice and can be real, you can build that connection.”

Tyson Fury’s recent challenge to Usyk
British boxer Tyson Fury recently said that he’ll come out of retirement to face Oleksandr Usyk for a championship unification fight if they can come up with enough money in 7 days, though that timeframe came and went.
At the time of his retirement, fury was the reigning WBC and The Ring Champion and held the title for two years when he defeated Deontay Wilder in 2020.

The Gypsy King announced the news on social media and tagged promoter Frank Warren, Top Rank Boxing and the World Boxing Council in the post.
He also said that he’s having a blast being retired so it would absolutely have to be a big money match.
