The Joshua camp has said Saudi Arabia really wants to host the championship match

According to sources inside Anthony Joshua’s training camp, the fighter has been given a ‘huge offer’ to fight Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.

The last four of Fury’s fights took place in Las Vegas. While many believe the high-profile bout would have to take place in the US, even Fury’s promoter Frank Warren hasn’t ruled out the match taking place in The Kingdom.

He said: “In a dreamscape, it should be in London but they’re professional athletes. These guys have short careers, they go where the money is.

“I don’t know where it’s going to take place. Wherever the most money comes from. It’s the boxers who get in the ring and they’ll make the choices.”

Anthony Joshua’s latest match versus Andy Ruiz Jr. was held in Saudi Arabia.

Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said that an offer was tabled to fight the winner of the Fury Wilder fight before the bout in Las Vegas, which saw Fury win in the seventh round through technical knockout.

Hearn said, “We have a huge site offer in place for that fight to take place. A big option. We have a partnership out there in Saudi Arabia.”

“They put the money up for the Andy Ruiz fight. Everything they promised, they delivered.

“They want this fight bad and when they’ve got that kind of attitude and mentality, it’s going to be difficult to beat.”

Anthony Joshua will first beat Bulgarian Klubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, on June 20.
