The PSL Season 4 gold will be unveiled at Dubai International Cricket Stadium

Big day for cricket fans: the Pakistan Super League 4 trophy is set to be unveiled at Dubai International Cricket Stadium later today.

Captains of all six participating teams in the league are expected to pull the wraps off the new trophy together. The ceremony will take place at 4:00 pm Dubai Time.

Dubai is currently facing sporadic rain showers, however, the weather is not expected to dampen (geddit?) the celebrations.

Pakistan Super League chief Ehsan Mani will address the crowds, along with Darren Sammy, Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Sami and Sarfraz Ahmed.

The fourth edition of the PSL is due to kick off this Thursday, February the 14th 2019. The first match will begin with a star-studded ceremony, headlined by the Latin Grammy Award-winning Pitbull, along with one of the biggest bands in Pakistan: Junoon.

Following the opening ceremony, defending champions Islamabad United will take on the Lahore Qalandars at 9:45 pm Dubai time.

The tournament will stay in Dubai from February 14 – 17, and then move into Sharjah for five days from February 20. Then it comes back to Dubai from February 26 to March 1st.

The final matches will again take place in the UAE, this time in Abu Dhabi, on March 4 and 5.

This comes at the start of a big summer for Cricket fans, what with the ICC Cricket World Cup scheduled to begin at the end of May.
