Golf’s golden boy in his most intense commercial to date

This weekend Rory McIlroy once again attempts to complete the final leg of a ‘career grand slam’ by winning The Master.

As the only Major tournament still missing from his collection, the former World Number One is so hell bent on filling that space on his mantle, that earlier in the year he even told Esquire Middle East that if given the choice, he’d take the Green Jacket (awarded to the winner of The Masters) over an Olympic gold medal in Rio.

Ahead of the event at the famed Augusta National Golf Club, McIlroy’s sponsor Nike Golf has its magic (as only it can do) an produced an advert that shows the commitment and drive needed to push yourself to be a Major winner.

The Enjoy The Chase advert (below) documents an increasingly frenetic montage, showing McIlroy waking up at 5:30am every morning, chopping vegetables for smoothies, lifting weights, hitting the driving range, running, lifting more weights and doing it all over again the next day.

Maybe being a professional athelete isn’t as glamourous as people think…
