Chris Hemsworth is currently home training for the sequel to the Netflix super-smash hit Extraction, and he’s ditching the Thor body to do it.
Transitioning from heavy weight training to a lot more body weight functional movements concentrating on agility, strength and speed,” he wrote this morning on Instagram.
Extraction, released in April of 2020, became the number one most streamed film of all time on the popular streaming platform, following a black ops mercenary rescuing a drug lord’s kidnapped son. The film was written and produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, who previously worked with Hemsworth on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which we understand were quite popular.
However, as Hemsworth’s Thor body is going for size above all else to capture the superhero spirit, Exstraction requires a different kind of lifestyle with different kind of stunts, requiring a leaner, meaner Hemsworth.
Want to work towards the Extraction 2 body? Hemsworth has detailed how.
“Give this little work out a go and let the lungs scream for mercy!” says Hemsworth.
Here’s the workouts that he’s doing it with.
The Extraction Workout:
1. 3 minute boxing round (cardio)
2. 50 squats (lower body)
3. 40 sit throughs (mobility)
4. 20 reps for each (core) exercise
5. 25 push ups (upper body)
Rest two minutes, and do four sets in total, according to Hemsworth.
Chris also tagged his personal fitness team centrfit, who have workouts and dieting ideas to ‘train, live, and eat better’ here, along with a free trial.
Hemsworth also welcomed the world to Dubai yesterday, as a part of Emirates’ Expo 2020 campaign. Watch the video here.
