Dwayne Johnson, man. How is this man 49 and looking better than he’s ever looked in his life?
It comes as no surprise to see the former WWE wrestler in impeccable shape and his training for the upcoming DC film Black Adam but the incredible results he’s shown us Instagram post on Tuesday are perhaps the best he’s ever looked.
“Been working extremely hard dieting, training and conditioning unlike any other role of my entire career,” he posted to Instagram.
Look at those quads. If his nickname wasn’t already ‘The Rock’, we’d call him Quadzilla.
“Looking insane!” commented Josh Brolin.
The Iron Paradise t-shirt he’s wearing states the words “Made Not Born” which is reference to the amount of time that Dwayne Johnson has spent in the gym over the years to become the tattooed tank that he is.
‘Late night training. Big week for Black Adam shooting my “champion” scenes with my shirt off and showing my body’ said Johnson in the post’s caption.
We can’t help looking at his Iron Paradise t-shirt which features an Eagle surrounded by lightning, one of the powers that his superhero character will display. Black Adam, who he plays is an antihero who is imprisoned for 5000 years and is the archenemy of Shazam who gets his powers from the ancient wizard of the same name. The origins of their powers slightly differ in the fact that Black Adam gets his from Egyptian gods while Shazam’s are from Greek gods.
‘Blessed with the powers of Superman and dangerous magic from the wizards. Then his rage turns his soul dark, forever becoming Black Adam.’
Don’t tease us like that Dwayne. We’d love to see the Man of Steel go one-on-one with Black Adam.
Working with his strength and conditioning coach @daverienzi, he’s had to adapt his workout routine which he says involves ‘Manipulating water, sodium, cardio but also having to push and pull real iron to have dense, dry, detailed muscle.’
‘It’s a real science that takers months and months to dial it all in with my strength & conditioning coach @daverienzi who keeps a very watchful eye, constantly fine tuning our strategy.’
Black Adam is set to be released in July 2022 and from Johnson’s workouts, the behind the scenes photos we’ve seen of what looks like the Egyptian city of Kahndaq, we can’t wait for this film to hit theatres next summer.
