It’s time to alt+tab to your Calendar and chart out next year’s big escapes as the UAE has officially unveiled the official list of UAE public holidays 2025.

The announcement of the dates cover both the public and private sectors, as outlined in government’s resolution No. 27 of 2024.

According to the resolution, the key confirmed dates you’ll want to be looking out for are: New Year’s Day (January 1, 2025); UAE National Day (December 2, 2025) and UAE Commemoration Day ( December 3, 2025).

Other public holidays have also been announced, however, the exact dates will be subject to moon sightings closer to the time. These include…

A three-day holiday for Eid Al Fitr (approx March 30-31, 2025), where an extra day may be added if Ramadan completes 30 days.

There will also be one day off for Arafat Day (approx June 5-6, 2025) and three further days for Eid Al Adha (approx June 6-7, 2025)

There are also provision to celebrate Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday (approx September 4).
