Emirates Airlines and groceries are the most popular in the UAE, followed by Apple and Etihad Airways

According to a new poll, Emirates Airlines, Almarai dairy and grocery store Carrefour are the three most popular brands in the UAE.

The results come from YouGove’s BrandIndex platform, which measures how people perceive different brands across various metrics.

According to its 2020 Customer Loyalty rankings, Emirates, Almarai and Carrefour are the strongest brands across the UAE, followed by Apple’s iPhone, Etihad Airways and Dettol.

It is interesting to see two of the UAE’s airlines in that list, considering international travel has been hit hard due to the coronavirus pandemic. That should be positive news for both companies as travel continues to open up across the region.

Elsewhere on the list include brands such as McVitties and Lurpack, which were part of a wider general trend across the poll that saw a sharp rise in consumer and comfort foods. The likes of Heinz, Maggi, Fanta, Cheetos and KFC all saw a surge in popularity, which was probably due to people seeking comfort foods during lockdown.

Samsung’s Galaxy line of smartphones is also on the list at number 9, joining Apple as the only two technology brands to make the cut.
