The NBA finally makes its eagerly anticipated return to Abu Dhabi this upcoming fall, Friday October 4, and Sunday, October 6, at The Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Tickets will go live to the general public today at 1pm GST, and can be purchased here.
Presented by ADQ, the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 will feature the 17-time NBA champions Boston Celtics and the defending NBA champions Denver Nuggets, playing preseason games on October 4 and October 6.
Taking place between the two games on Saturday, October 5 at 4:30pm GST is “NBA Fan Appreciation Day in Abu Dhabi,” featuring one of the most iconic, one syllable names not just in sports history, but in modern pop culture: Shaq, or, alternatively, four-time NBA champion, Shaquille O’Neal. Tickets for this event can be purchased here.
This experience will feature world-class game entertainment, skills competitions, and appearances by Celtics and Nuggets players, O’Neal and other NBA legends, with additional celebrity guests announced at a later date.
The weekend-long NBA District will return to Manarat Al Saadiyat for the third consecutive year from Thursday, Oct. 3 to Sunday, Oct. 6. Fans will have the opportunity to participate in immersive experiences, partner activations, NBA talent appearances, basketball activities on a full-size NBA court, and purchase limited-edition NBA merchandise.
