‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance’ is coming to Netflix soon

Dropping on Netflix on August 30th, the show is a prequel to the 1982 fantasy-adventure film The Dark Crystal
While not as gritty as Game of Thrones, this fantasy animation about rebellion and magic could be perfect right now

The Dark Crystal is coming to Netflix just in time for the summer.

The new 10-episode animation is set before the events of the much loved Jim Henson and Frank Oz directed movie of the same name.

The original film came out in the 80s, and featured a rag-tag team of fantasy characters seeking a shard of the dark crystal (which baddies are trying to use to turn the entire world into darkness).

The new Netflix show is set in the same world of Thra, and followings the journey of three Gelflings who discover a dark secret about the main antagonist race, the Skeksis. The show will follow a story of rebellion and a mission to save the world.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is directed by Louis Leterrier, whose credits include Now You See Me, Clash of the Titans, and The Incredible Hulk.
