His Highness, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum just shared a video of giant inflatable balloons shaped like animals and food floating around iconic Dubai landmarks.

The only information in the post’s caption is #DubaiDestinations.

If you read the Instagram bio of The Crown Prince of Dubai, it says:

“Every picture has a story and every story has a moment that I’d love to share with you”.

The question that the internet is asking itself is “what is the story behind this video?” which shows a flamingo sliding down the Burj Khalifa, a massive chocolate sprinkled donut flying through the Dubai Frame, a toucan flying between Emirates Towers, a watermelon slice floating behind the Burj Al Arab and a giant yellow duck floating in the sea near the Dubai Eye.

Is Sheikh Hamdan teasing an upcoming summer event?

Being that flamingos, toucans and fruits are things we typically associate with summer, perhaps the message behind this video is that summer has quite literally descended upon us? Or Dubai to be more specific?

If you look closely at some of the inflatables, you’ll see the words “Dubai Destinations” written across them. Is Sheikh Hamdan teasing the public that there’s going to be some kind of summer event happening sometime soon?

It would be pretty cool if they could attach seats and seat belts to the inflatable toucan so that people could ride the bird around the city?

Regular helium balloons have been overdone at this point right?

The blue toucan seemed to be able to navigate its way through the Emirates Towers so it would be much safer to fly on that than the giant donut which deflected off the Dubai Frame. What about the yellow rubber duck becoming a fun way to go on a sea cruise around Dubai?

As for the pink flamingo sliding down the Burj Khalifa, it looks like one those amusement park rides that drop you from a massive height. Similarly to the flying toucan ride idea, It would be interesting if there was a way for people to safely stay on the flamingo as it ascends and drops like an amusement park ride.

For now, this is all wild speculation unless the Crown Prince of Dubai plans to tell the story behind this particular video later down the line.
