Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed kept his word as he met the Talabat rider who ran into a busy intersection to remove two concrete blocks that could’ve caused a huge accident.

Sheikh Hamdan had praised the rider, Abdul Ghafoor Abdul Hakeem for his heroism on Twitter after asking the internet to help identify him from the viral video.

He then stated that he would like to meet Abdul Ghafoor when he returned to Dubai.

Heroism is second nature to Abdul Ghafoor

Abdul Ghafoor had told local media that when Talabat called him to say that Sheikh Hamdan wished to call him personally to thank the rider for his bravery, he had completely forgotten what he did to deserve such praise from the Crown Prince because he just thought he did what anyone else would’ve done in that situation.

“When the Talabat management called me to tell me, I told them that I had totally forgotten that I even did that because I was only doing my duty towards other road users. said Abdul Ghafoor.

“My family in Pakistan is happy and proud of this gesture by Sheikh Hamdan.”

Abdul Ghafoor has only been a Talabat rider for five months and has already met UAE royalty.

All of the riders friends and family have been calling him due to his fame and royal conversation.

“I’m grateful for his praise and I was pleased with his phone call. I’m getting a lot of calls from family and friends.”
