Nara Escape are offering a new glamping experience in the form of Desert Nesting called The Nest.
Opening on September 23, 2022, these nests look like mini hotel rooms but in this case, desert rooms nestled into the sand dunes, located at Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve
on Al Ain Road, Margham Gate.
Regular camping just doesn’t cut it anymore. Who really wants to get in a small tent and constantly be bumping into each other or have to step out of the tent in the middle of the night to use the bathroom? With glamping you get the desert experience without the inconveniences.
Inside The Nest
Designed by renowned architect Gianna Ranaulo, there will be 14 nests available to book and each is outfitted with a double bed with the option of installing an extra bed to cater to a total of two adults and their children. There’s an ensuite bathroom, a private terrace as well as a complimentary minibar.
For dining options, a tapas dinner is served in the evening by Chef Franck Sanna at the main bar lounge with breakfast being served at dawn. Guests may also choose to dine at Sonara where a fusion Mediterranean menu is offered. The restaurant offers a three course sharing menu including dishes such as baba Ghanoush and fusion Lamb Asador.
Choosing a nest
Anyone wishing to book one of the nests will be able to choose from three package types, the dune view for AED 2,900, the sunrise view for AED 3,200 and the Sunset view for AED 3,500. Dining from the Nest Tapas menu will cost AED 380 per adult and AED 220 per child with children under 5 going for free.
Optional experiences available for purchase are a private chauffeur service which provides a two-way transfer. A Toyota Landcruiser will take five guests for AED 1,040, a MBW 730LI will take two guest for AED 1,200 and a Mercedes S450 will pick up two guests for AED 1,430.
There’s also the option to book a Dune Buggy Drive with packages being offered for two and four seater vehicles. Guest can book a two seater for either 1 or 2 hours for AED 1,050 or AED 1,525. A larger party may wish to book the four seater for AED 1,400 for 1 hour or AED 1,900 for 2 hours.
