Three days into rainfall, and Dubai is experiencing big detours, closures and delays as it works to combat the amount of water that is logged across the city.
The RTA has announced numerous road closures for Friday, January 27. Here’s the complete list so far, and stay on Esquire Middle East for all updates throughout the day.

Al Asayel St.
“#RTA announces Al Asayel St. closure in both directions in the part between Al Maraba’a St. and Kahraman St. due to rainwater accumulation, You can use First Al Khail St. and Al Khail Rd. to reach your destination,” wrote the RTA on Twitter.
Al Safa St., Al Badaa St., and Sheikh Zayed Rd. at the intersection with the Financial Centre St.
If you’re heading to Hans Zimmer tonight, roads will be closed in the area from 5:00 pm.
“Affected roads on January 27&28, 5:00 PM-12:00 AM midnight, coinciding with the Coca-Cola Arena events: -Al Safa St. – Al Badaa St. – Sheikh Zayed Rd. at the intersection with the Financial Centre St. Use #DubaiMetro towards Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station for easier reach,” wrote the RTA on Twitter.
