With 85 per cent humidity, too

Brace yourselves – this weekend will see the UAE hit 49-degrees centigrade.

But according to the UAE weather bureau said that’s not all. Residents of Dubai and Abu Dhabi can expect up to 85 percent humidity, along with haze and dust in the air.

The National Centre of Meteorology said that the weather on Thursday and Friday will be “fair to partly cloudy” but then ramp up on Saturday, with highs of 49-degrees.

It described the temperature as being “hot to very hot”.

BONUS: Why is Dubai so hot?

What’s a resident to do? According to the weather bureau, there are still cool spots to be found in the UAE. It listed five locations that you need to know about to beat the heat, including Jebel Jais (26.8°C), Al Ruwais (26.9°C), Barakah (27C), Al Jazeera (27.3°C) and Qarnen (27.7°C)

Temperatures will continue to rise early next week.
