The biggest forthcoming releases unveiled at the annual games convention

The games world has just had their annual get-together at the E3 convention, so we’ve put together a collection of clips and trailers of the best new and upcoming releases. From the hugely hyped No Man’s Sky (pictured above) to reboots of old classics.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

The fourth game in the Uncharted series, gets its first proper gameplay demo at this year’s E3. Fans get to see Drake and Sully somewhere in Africa where they are in a heist with a group of bandits.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Two years since it was announced, The Phantom Pain, the newest addition to the Metal Gear Solid franchise will be out on September 1 2015. The most recent trailer shows detailed cutscenes that make it seem like a movie at the same time.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Eight years ago when the PlayStation 3 was on the way, a PS3 graphics rendered trailer was made, but since then no game came out. Fast forward to 2015, Square Enix has revealed a new trailer redone in the PlayStation 4 graphic engine.

Kingdom Hearts 3

The third installment in the series has been the talk of the industry for the last nine years, and was finally unveiled in E3 2013. Two years after, at E3 2015 a new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer was shown which featured quite a bit of gameplay as well as a cutscene between two of the series main characters.

Ratchet & Clank Remastered

The much loved sci-fi series of the PlayStation 2 and 3, is getting a reboot on the PlayStation 4. The game will tie in with the upcoming film of the same name that will be out on June 30 2016.

Doom

The fourth game in the cult classic first person shooter series has been talked about for several years. However, that all changed at E3 2015, when a demo of the game was presented, which offers plenty of action, gore and violence like its predecessors.

Star Wars Battlefront

The Battlefront series returns as a reboot and will be out in November 17 2015, just enough of time to keep players occupied until the highly anticipated seventh Star Wars movie releases at the end of this year.

Hitman

The stealth shooter is making a comeback; this is the sixth game in the series. The trailer shows Agent 47 running on a snowy landscape along with a glimpse of highly detailed footage of various events that will lead to the main plot.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildones

The widely popular Ghost Recon has a new title. The Ghost Recon team is assigned to take on a drug cartel named Santa Bianca, who has turned the country Bolivia into a narco-state that has resulted in lawlessness and violence. The shooter takes place in an open world giving players enough of opportunities to shape the way they play the game.

The Last Guardian

Anyone familiar with Shadow of the Colossus, one of the most successful RPG’s on the PlayStation 2, will notice the similarities in The Last Guardian which has been in development for eight years. The game is set in an ancient surrounding and showcases a boy being assisted by a strange creature that is half dog and bird, as the two of them help each other out and journey through a mountainous temple region.

Halo 5: Guardians

The massively popular Halo will have a fifth game in the series. The game will see players take on the role of a new character named Locke instead of Master Chief, the character’s task is to hunt down Master Chief who previously served as the main protagonist in the last four Halo titles.

Gears of War 4

The Gears of War series is far from over, as the fourth game in the series is announced. The trailer shows two COG soldiers venturing in the night and go up against a few Locust soldiers who were thought to be history in Gears of War 3, along with a new type of Locust monster never seen in the previous games.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Deus Ex is getting a sequel and will once again wow players as the game has evolved over the last few years. It is set in the year 2029, where the mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts by the rest of society and are in total segregation. Adam Jensen the main protagonist of the previous title’s goes on a mission to find out why his people are being discriminated and at the same time uncover a worldwide conspiracy.

Fallout 4

The next Fallout game is once again set in a post-nuclear-war future. This time players will get to see what life was like before the nuclear war broke out and what happens next in this wasteland.

Taking place 15 years after the last game, players get to choose between Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, and must find out the corruption behind The Dunwall Plague.

Dark Souls 3

One of the most difficult games to play will come to a conclusion as this is the final game in the series. The game is set in a medieval desolate wasteland with a large monster roaming the land, showing that nothing has since changed since the last two games.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider shows no signs of slowing down as the next game in the long running series is on its way. Lara Croft is seen mountain climbing in this clip on a large snowy mountain while braving a blizzard.

Mass Effect Andromeda

One of the biggest sci-fi games has a new addition in the series. The trailers shows a variety of landscapes in different environments and shows a man in a space outfit travelling through hyper space into another galaxy, he lands on a desert planet and is fighting a group of enemies that make a surprise attack.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst

The fluid action-adventure game get’s another go but this time with a prequel that will focus on Faith Connors past. The trailer demonstrates fast paced acrobatics and parkour movements that will allow players to jump across large buildings and fight enemies’ melee style.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III

One of the most popular shooters in recent years is back with a third instalment and goes further into the future. The trailer shows robotic weapons, robots, and super soldiers, which shows the game has gone deeper into the future and like every Black Ops title; the separate zombie campaign is back as well.

No Man’s Sky

The game takes place in an open universe, the trailer shows a colourful vibrant setting with different animals and a vivid atmosphere, as well as a space environment. The game will touch on exploring new planets, space ship battles, oceans, resource gathering, and potential predators.
