With companies returning to 100% capacity starting September 5, some will be allowed to stay home

Starting September 5, Abu Dhabi governmental facilities and companies can return to the workplace at 100 percent capacity.

Some people, however, will be able to continue to work from home, though it will be very limited. If you fall into the following category, your circumstances will exempt you from the new directive.

Remote working is allowed for only one parent of a child in grade 10 or below. The child, exempted from going to school physically, should have a medical reason and a statement from the educational institution. Employees can also grant additional exemptions based on government regulations.

Those vaccinated or exempted from vaccination need to show a green status on the Alhosn app. Also, those unvaccinated are obligated to get a PCR test every week.

People not abiding by the Covid-19 rules and regulations are not allowed back into work. Also, expect a deduction from your annual leave or monthly salary in case you are absent.
