Here are UAE’s travel rules for anyone coming from abroad.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority announced this week new and revised rules for people arriving in the UAE.
Here is a concise and summarised list of what you need to know:
1. People arriving can register, starting August 15, on the ICA app and website. Those planning to travel are obligated to fill in personal and passport details, UAE residency address, and lastly uploading vaccine information and providing necessary documents to prove it.
2. To ensure safety, travelers must register their information on the ICA UAE Smart or through the website, www.smartservices.ica.gov.ae.
3. Registering vaccination certificates is optional. Registration for the vaccine is beneficial for people as UAE has benefits available for vaccine recipients.
4. Vaccinate certificates approved by the country will be authorized and shown on the AlHosn app.
5. The AlHosn app has an updated feature where three colors – green, gray, and red appear. Green means a negative PCR test result, gray means the PCR result validity has expired, and red means positive.
6. Etihad Airways is taking travelers from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh ONLY if they are transiting in Abu Dhabi.
7. Etihad Airways will also fly passengers stranded abroad that hold Dubai visas.
8. A Covid-19 vaccination certificate is unrequired for travelers coming to Dubai from countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. However, this rule is only for Dubai and not other emirates.
