Summer has officially begun as the 24th edition of the Dubai Summer Surprises is back this Thursday, July 1, with a 12 hour flash sale.
From 10 am to 10 pm, over 100 brands will be offering discounts from 25 to 90 percent.
This shopping extravaganza is exclusive to Majid Al Futtaim malls which includes Mall of the Emirates, My City Centre Al Barsha, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira, City Centre Me’aisem and City Centre Al Shindagha.
While Dubai Mall isn’t included in this flash sale, you can still check out the special opening day projections and fountain shows on display at the Burj Khalifa or The Palm Fountain at The Pointe. Another option is the Imagine show which is taking place at Dubai Festival City Mall and all three of these events are taking place on July 1.
In addition to huge discounts, each mall will feature a variety of family entertainment, activities and events such as the Summer Art Project and Movie Magic.
All the upcoming events will last until September 4 and are expected to follow all COVID-19 guidelines.
Director of Events and Festivals Suhaila Saqer Obaid Ghobash emphasizes the importance of everyone following the government’s safety guidelines.
“Children have started going back to school. Besides, teenagers above 12 have been vaccinated. It’s the responsibility of the adults to make sure that the teenagers who have been vaccinated wear masks while attending these events and activities and sanitise their hands each time they touch something. It’s community involvement that’s the need of the hour.”
Another reason to pull out your wallets is that anyone who spends AED 300 or more will be eligible to enter a draw to have a chance to win one million Majid Al Futtaim SHARE reward points. All you have to do is download the SHARE app and scan your receipts and wait to see if you drew the lucky number when they announce the winner on July 4.
Besides the shopping sales, Dubai Summer Surprises will feature food events such as Summer Restaurant Week, Dine & Win and a Big Eid Eat event to celebrate Eid Al Adha which is just a few weeks away.
