All visitors from Great Britain will now be forced to quarantine upon arrival in the UAE’s capital

The UK is no longer on Abu Dhabi’s Green List.

Now, visitors from Great Britain will be forced to quarantine upon arriving in the emirate, which comes just several months after the UK was added to the Green List in April.

Malta has been added to the Green List, while Tajikistan has been removed. The last update came on May 23.

The full Green List for Abu Dhabi can be found here.

The UAE is also on the UK’s Red List, forcing travellers from the UAE to quarantine in a hotel for two weeks upon visitation.

Malta, on the other hand, has the UAE on its amber list, meaning that all visitors have to have a negative.

New restrictions come into enforcement on July 1, a Thursday.

There are currently 28 countries on Abu Dhabi’s Green List, which determines who can fly to the UAE without the need to self-quarantine. Those travelling on the Green List still need to get a PCR test upon arrival.

If a country is not on the green list, vaccinated travellers must quarantine for five days, with unvaccinated needing to isolate for a period of 10 days.

This only applies to Abu Dhabi of course, with each emirate taking its own course in the fight against Covid-19.
