Rapper and music producer Dr. Dre is recovering in hospital following what is suspected to be a brain aneurysm, it was reported by TMZ.
The 55-year-old was rushed to intensive care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles late on Monday night, but has since assured his fans on social media that he is “doing great” and on the road to recovery.
While the initial reports circulated there were some nervous moments until the musican took to his personal Social Media accounts to personally update on the situation, tweeting: “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon.”
The musician is currently going through a divorce from his estranged wife, Nicole Young, and is due for a hearing on Wednesday. Young filed for divorce in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married in 1996 and have two adult children together.
