The tech giant isn’t stopping at iPhones

Apple is reportedly trying its hand in the automotive industry. 

While nothing is known right now, sources suggest that the tech company – which is the world’s highest-valued business – is working on self-driving vehicles. 

Apple has supposedly recruited various senior executives and engineers from the automotive industry, including people from Tesla. Reports also saay that Apple has negotiated with a major supplier of vehicle electronics, to get ready for production. Apple has also teamed up with Taiwanese semiconductor supplier TSMC to help develop chops for their self-driving cars. 

It is thought that the first Apple four-wheeled motors would arrive in 2024 – 2025.
