YouTuber Logan Paul is taking on Floyd Mayweather Jr., an actual boxer

YouTube star and child who refuses to grow up, Logan Paul is set to take on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition match.

Last year Logan Paul decided to become a boxer and took on fellow YouTuber KSI in two bouts. Now, he wants to go up to the big leagues.

The match would signify Floyd Mayweather Jr’s return to the sport, after retiring. His last fight was with MMA Fighter Conor McGregor, which he won comfortably. Mayweather Jr. currently has a fight record of 50 – 1.

Mayweather is rather comfortable in exhibition matches; in 2018 he took on Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasakuwa and won (another comfortable victory).

Reports of the agreement between Mayweather and Paul came after another YouTuber – Keemstar – tweeted that a fight was on the cars.

According to veteran sports journalist Mike Feinberg contracts have been signed. He reported that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would be coming out of retirement to fight Logan Paul, having just signed the contract.

The match will no doubt occur sometime next year.

Currently, the most exciting exhibition match of 2020 will take place in November, between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. The match was scheduled for September in Saudi Arabia, but is expected to be rescheduled for later in the year.
