The team put up a photo of them on the plane headed to the UAE, however Kohli could not be seen. That prompted thousands of fans to take to social media asking where the captain was. Turns out, he took alternate travel arrangements and was in the city waiting for them.

The Bangalore-based team have yet to win the title, despite reaching the final on three occasions. It’s thought that perhaps this year’s IPL which will take place here in the UAE – neutral ground – will be their best shot at winning the trophy for hte first time.

They will soon take on the Chennai Super Kings – who also shared images of their departure and arrival in Dubai.

This marks the return of cricket season, after it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Sharja, Abu Dhabi and Dubai will host all the IPL matches this year, and will see 53 games played over 60 days.
