Celebrities join the Lebanese designer to help Beirut ‘Rise from the Ashes’

High-profile celebrities from across the world have showed their support for Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, in order to raise funds for Lebanon following the devastating blast in Beirut on 4 August.

The likes of Sofia Vergara, Shanina Shaik, Courteney Cox and Alessandra Ambrosio have posted pictures of them wearing a T-shirt designed by Murad with the motto “Rise From The Ashes”.

All proceeds of the sales for the limited-edition #RiseFromTheAshes Beirut Relief Tee will be donated to Offrejoie, a Lebanese non-profit organization that is currently working on the ground on humanitarian needs for the people of Beirut during this difficult time.

“These past two weeks have been devastating as I have seen the city of Beirut, my beloved city, hurt in its soul and endure so much destruction. In these difficult times, the only way for me to move forward is by helping in any way that I can, so I have launched a fundraising T-Shirt campaign,” Murad said in a statement.

As the country reels from the aftermath of the explosion, hundreds of businesses and thousands of lives have been affected. Zuhair described the devastation it has caused his business: “I built this building stone by stone, day by day, night by night. It was my dream to build my fashion house in Beirut, in my city, in Lebanon where I was born but in one second everything went and I lost everything.”

Those supportive of the cause can purchase their own iconic #RiseFromTheAshes t-shirt at represent.com/Beirut
