The December event is just the latest to be cancelled due to Covid-19

Dubai’s popular ‘street style’ festival Sole DXB is the latest event to bite the bullet and cancel its 2020 edition citing safety issues caused by Covid-19.

Making the announcment in an instagram post the organisers said that they were “not confident that we can deliver the experience you deserve with the health and safety standards we expect.”

The festival, which celebrates the best of street art, music, fashion and culture, had been due to run in December. No new date has been announced for the event.

“While the situation continues to improve on the ground in Dubai, the festival is a collective effort by our community around the world and we’re ready to wait till they can be a pat of it, too. We do not have a new date, but once we do, you’ll be the first to know,” the statement continued.

Every year, the street culture festival welcomes thousands of hip-hop fans, sneaker heads and fashionistas to make up a vibrant crowds at Dubai Design District (D3).
